BAND CONNECTIONS

Crafty works on behalf of MusicSA for the Murray Bridge Council to facilitate a "weekly after school jam club”. It’s a safe fun environment where all who attend get a chance to work on their craft and meet new likeminded peers.

Every Wednesday 5-7pm (during school term).

THE SILVER BEAT ROCK CHOIR

Crafty works as one of two choir masters for The Silver Beat Rock Choir. The Silver Beat Rock Choir is a rock choir for people who are 65 years of age and over. An initiative of the City Of Playford the group is based at The Grenville Community Connections Hub at Elizabeth in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. The Silver Beat Rock Choir consists of around 45 people and are backed by a 7-piece rock band. As a choir master, Crafty instructs the choir and the accompanying band and helps showcase that age is just a number, breaking down stereotypes held by the younger generation of how the older person should behave and act. Crafty’s enthusiasm and passion for music is reciprocated by the choir and is always on display during their performances.

Here’s a quick video clip of one of the choirs performances at the Shedley Theatre in 2019.

"Crafty’s exceptional musical knowledge, engaging personality and inclusive teaching style ensure all people in his orbit get the best chance possible to skill up and feel like total Rock Gods! He has been responsible for life changing, empowering development in many young music students’ lives."
